A building pad is a spec, not a pile of stone. BDX cuts the pad to subgrade, coordinates the proofroll with the geotech's field tech, and places pad stone to the depth the report calls for — compacted in lifts, not flood-dumped. Soft or wet subgrade gets flagged and handled as directed extras at stated unit rates, so the pad price you got is the pad price you pay.
